scifi books

So the book I've been reading lately is "Road to Dune" by Brian Herbert (son of the late scifi author-god Frank Herbert) and Kevin J. Anderson. For those familiar with this compendium of Dune-related short stories and the short story alternative version of the original Dune novel, it actually doesn't suck. For fans of the genre, recommended. For fans of the original Frank Herbert stuff, you'll prolly hate it (like all the neo-Dune stuff that Brian Herbert and KJ Anderson have written thus far).

I usually stick to my favorite authors, but anyone read Beloved Harlem? About the history of Harlem. I usually like my historical fiction, but everyonce in a while nonfiction creeps in. And, David Eddings is awesome, but he hasn't written anything new in awhile. Issac Asimov is a genius, may he rest in peace.
