Don't give up on this one; it's so romantic. Rent one of the films if you have to, especially the one with Olivier.

Does anyone know if the Book Club of Ireland is still in action, they used to be a mail book purchase club. They were fantastic, but havent heard a word from them in years. Guess its cheaper to just buy or use the library. Cheers , and keep reading.

Dan Brown's books are very bad written, i had difficulties reading them myself. Reading 'our posthuman future' at the moment, by Fukuyama (sp?) > brilliant read

For Vampire books I'd recommend Nancy Collins or Nancy Kilpatrick. Good omens is a great book as is anything else by Neil Gaiman. For philosophy check out "In praise of Slow" how a worldwise movement is challenging the cult of speed.

I read all Dan Brown's books and I find they're held together with hard to believe coincidences and poor writing. The topics he chooses to write about save him from obscurity. A & D was wholly hard to swallow but you mention Illuminati and they sell.

Hello to book lovers. I have read many of the "great" books at St.John's. At present I am reading a very good book by Joseph epstein: the goldin boys. Very funny. Right now I feel I need to giggle and laugh. can you suggest some? Thanks
