Back pain and More

Hi I have osteoarthritis and lower lumbar degenerative disk disease of the lower back. I was diagnosed with this in 2003 and since then it has been getting worse. It is now in both hips, legs, and neck. I find it hard to go out walking as I have to plan my outing so that I can sit when the pain hits after about 20 minutes. I applied for disability in Sept of 2006 and was denied, but I am fighting it now. I am blessed that I can still walk. Stay strong and live life today.

Hi--I have similar degenerative disc disease, plus spinal stenosis and a recently herniated disc, and fibromyalgia (for about 25 yrs.) I would strongly suggest you find an osteopathic doctor (D.O.) who does manipulation--which they ALL learn, but very few actually do in their medical practices. It is NOT the same as a chiropractor--which I, personally, would be hesitant to use. It has made a world of difference to me. Also ice packs help some, and not overdoing anything.

Hi, I know how you feel. I am 75 and have arthritis in all my joints. When I wake up in the morning I it feels like I played football the day before. I walk 20 minutes every day with pain. If I didn't walk my pain would be worse. Just thought I would pass this on to you. CJ, Frederick and Annapolis, MD.

I have Osteoarthritis very svere in my opinion,"Doctors" machines don't agree, rather sad that one must arggue with a machine,x-ray MRI and all that. As though a machine knows anything of pain, and suffering, astonishing how humiliating each day has become,Hair adjustment apparently does not work for arthritiko. We do keep our sanity,or try to,yet these drugs side-effects are astoshingly acrimonious
