Being big fan I would say Om Shanti Om was overly done the only cool part is the song at the end and when the twist began. Saawariya reminds me of Singing in the RAin beautifully done, and Bhool Bhuliya was about a ghost and praises to Akshay as usual the soundtrack was cool though.

Withnail and I is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. It's a UK film, and while it was first released in the late 80s, it has aged incredibly well.

By the way, there are two films that match both definitions- the film "La vita รจ bella" from Italy, and the movie "Todo sobre mi madre" from spain. Both of them achieved the academy award, i think.

Though I`m an Austrian, I thought of foreign film in the meaning of the oscar ... We do not have much active filming in austria any more, and mostly bitter sweet comedies, in which some Austrian comedians play. One of these is "INDIA" a very nice movie about the growing friendship of two totally different collegues working outbound, one of them unrealised suffering from testicular cancer. The movie lives from the dialogues and the personalities of the actors.

Yes, it is an excellent film. I'm glad for all of the suggestions on this board. I'll take your word for it, riveey27, but that "Once Were Warriors" doesn't sound very cheery! A happy movie like "American Beauty", is it? (One of my favorites, even though it's not foreign. Come to think of it, this board is misnamed. There's a worldwide membership here, so to whom are these films foreign? Picky, picky--I know.
