Hello, i must thank u 4 makin it free in nigeria. But honestly,am not enjoying the service.Although, i am not a premium member yet maybe that is why my messages are being blocked.There was a day i got a email from U tellin me that i had a new message but when i opened my box there was nothing. Sorry to bother u but i love METRODATE...and i wish to heer from u. Thanks

Sometimes members get new message alerts, but they have no e-mails... This occurs if after you get the alert, the member that sent it to you was disabled, for exmaple if they were found to be sending out inappropriate messages (soliciting money, etc)

Site-wide Instant Messaging!

You can now instant message anyone that's logged onto Metrodate, even if they are not in the chat room! Simply go to their profile, and click the link to send them an instant message. This will open up a new private chat for the two of you. Enjoy, and please post any feedback in response to this message! At this time it is completely free to use private messaging!!

Chat Room Fixed...

I saw all the complaints about the chat room. It has been resolved. We are working on adding a lot of new features to Metrodate but a change was made that broke the chat room, and it wasn't noticed until later. We apologize for the outage. You will be very happy when you find out about some of the new features coming very soon. Watch the announcements message board for more information. I am deleting all the messages people posted about the chat room being down, because there are so many of them, and it's back up now.
