Yes running is one of the better exercise as it not only help to strengthen your legs, but it gives your lungs a full work out.

I have been running for a few years now and i loved that it helps me keep my weight down and i pretty much eat all that i feel like eating--my question is how do you deal with the aches and pain from running?i run 5ms in about 1hour and i get hip pain and it doesnt go away i hate taking meds so i just hurt i use to run 3 times a week now im down to once per week any suggestions other than stop running?

Hey Mexicolady, I suspect that your problem is muscle imbalance. I had some issues like this as I trained for NY marathon last year. To fix it, you need to cross train. Strengthen your core (when it's weak, you tend to sink into your hips as you fatigue, this is what's giving you the pain I suspect... I did the same!) also strengthen your hips.. Good luck! And keep running!
